¹⁸ (For he knew well that they had delivered Him out of envy.

¹⁹ Also, when he was sitting upon the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that just Man. For I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him.”)

²⁰ But the chief priests and the elders had persuaded the people that they should ask for Barabbas and should destroy Jesus.
